No god is Like My God

God was introduced to me since I was a child. I was born in a Christian family. I know many things about God and how He did everything for us. And I believe in Him. But as I grew up I learned that there are other gods that people worship. The one that captured my attention most are the Greek god and goddesses mainly because of the cartoon about Hercules. The gods there are good looking and powerful. It is interesting as well because it is understandable, funny and musical. But as I learned more things changed.

The god and goddesses are now unlikable. Their actions and attitude don’t appeal to me. Hera, Athena and Aphrodite have contests to know who is better. Which I think is not good because they are gods and gods are perfect. This other god wishes for a human sacrifice which is too much. And there is Athena who deceived Hector and raised his hopes. But in the end it was a trap. She doesn’t have done that for she and Achilles is strong enough to kill him. Half-god Achilles doesn’t satisfy himself unless he has some fun with the corpse. I also noticed how gods sided with people. This explains that they are not fair.

Poseidon I think is childish. Just because of he was not recognized he punished Odysseus. But after everything Odysseus still won. The gods and goddesses (though not all) do things without purposes.

Now I realized that we’re so blessed because our god is God. He’s powerful, just and wise. He doesn’t ask for human sacrifices. He doesn’t deceive people. He treats and loves them equally. All in all He does things perfectly. No one else is better than Him cause He is God and there is no one like Him.
